ACTUATION2015 simultaneously addresses the development and validation of standardised, modular and pooled EMA for all airframe systems. To achieve this ambitious objective, ACTUATION2015 gathers a critical mass of expertise in a wide range of skills (Component suppliers, Actuator suppliers, Actuation system supplier, A/C manufacturers, and Certification Authorities) and, especially for standardisation, the main stakeholders in the field.
The ACTUATION2015 Consortium has been drawn up in this spirit and the consortium gathers 54 partners. Goodrich Actuation Systems SAS, a UTC Aerospace Systems Company is coordinating the project.

SENER was created in 1956 as an engineering and consulting firm. In 1967 started its activities in Space, and since then is one of main Spanish suppliers of satellites and spacecraft components for the ESA and commercial markets. In 1985 the activity was expanded to Aeronautics and Defence, with the participation in Eurofighter. Eurojet and other European and Spanish programs. In 1991, ITS (Industria de Turbopropulsores) was promoted by SENER as the Spanish aeroengine company. In 1995 the SENER Group was formed to integrate all engineering and industrial participations of SENER in engineering, aerospace and environment. In 2001 a new business area was promoted on Control and Actuation Systems, and new facilities were built for production.
SENER designs, develops, manufactures, integrates, tests and supports Actuation and Control Systems in series production starting from the experience since many years in engineering and short series integration in Space applications:
• Full capability, from requirement specifications to manufacturing engineering, and all intermediate levels
• Search for the highest level of responsibility attainable
• But initially only Detail engineering or even Built to Print activities accepted
SENER is involved in the standard module specification for Helicopters (FCS & THS Components requirement capture) and in the Prognostic and Health and Usage Monitoring (where SENER is WP leader) that includes PHM HM Architecture, PHM Usage Monitoring, PHM Anomaly Detection and Diagnostics, PHM Trending and Prognostics, and finally in the PHM Standardisation Strategy and Roadmap. SENER develops also a Helicopter Secondary Flight Control (HS) hardware integration EMA that will include PHM modules.
